July...

We started out July headed for Oregon for a Nelson family reunion. We flew in on July 4th and joined all my brothers and sisters and their families. We headed straight from the airport to the park for family pictures. Here is grandma and grandpa with all the grandkids. After pictures we ran some errands and then went and saw Wall-E, I thought it was a pretty cute movie. That night we went to the Beavers baseball game. The beavers were losing until Zakary, our oldest nephew, put on his rally cap. After that, it was all over for the other team! After the game there were some pretty good fireworks and free ice cream in front of the park. I don't think they could ever do that here in Utah... can you imagine.
The next day we all headed down to the beach for the week. I sure miss being able to do that. We had a lot of fun! I enjoy being with my family. Here are a couple of pictures from the week.
The tidepools in the morning- it was VERY cold.

This is the "traditional" Family Home Evening picture. Kevin's "keeper" crab. We crabbed off the dock in Newport and Kevin caught the only dungeness keeper. Marshmellow shooters, this was pretty funny...
One of my favorite places in Oregon- Tillamook Cheese Factory. You always have to get ice cream!
At the baseball game.

This is Kevin "calming" the little boys down for bed...

We had such a fun time with everyone! We sure do miss Oregon too.

We came home from the family reunion on Saturday, July 12th in the afternoon. It was a whirlwind after that... We had to unpack, wash clothes, and repack. On Sunday, July 13th Kevin headed to Texas for some training for work for a special team he is on. On Monday, July 14th- at 4:30AM I headed out of girls camp. I can't believe it myself, I went to girls camp... The stake asked me to be a cook this year. I actually had a lot of fun. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. Our stake was able to go up to Heber Valley Camp this year. It is a church owned girls camp with cabins, pavilions, showers, and a full kitchen. If any of you have a chance to go, it is great. There are couple missionaries that are the camp hosts, and wonderful people. The nature is beautiful up there and the spirit is wonderful. The missionaries call it "the temple on the hill". They were explaining to us that the President of the church felt so strongly about putting this camp in for the girls and it cost the equivilant of 3 large temples. Here is the web site http://www.hebervalleycamp.org/ I got home exhausted on Friday afternoon and slept for awhile. Kevin came home Friday around midnight.

Kevin does such a good job at calming the kids down for bed. He is such a barrel of monkies.
